PROCEDURE
Dr Guzman will carefully assess your skin type and condition, in some cases a skin preparation is mandatory prior of the treatment. Depending on your lifestyle, type and amount of dark spots to be treated an initial chemical peel session will be organised to clear-up the damaged superficial skin layers. Immediate darker and crusty spots are noticeable , this reaction is completely normal, Three days later a little peel off of skin will be noticed (as after sunburn) and in between 5 to 8 days later the crust and skin begins to regenerate and build up new skin. Depending on the skin reaction a second peel session will be organised or an IPL session.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The session will last over 20 minutes for a chemical peel or IPL office treatment.
Cumulative and repeated treatments (typically 3-6) every 3 to 4 weeks are generally necessary for complete clearance.
SIDE EFFECTS
darkening of the treated brown spots is expected. These typically crust over 24 to 48 hours and peel of within seven days.
COUNTER-INDICATIONS
Pregnancy or breast feeding, diseases affecting the immune system, skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infection should be postponed until healing is complete.
